FOUR BRIDGES HALF MARATHON-DONE!

Sunday morning was a beautiful morning for a 13.1 mile run from the City of Folsom around Lake Natoma and back. This was the first time I ever participated in any kind of organized race/run. This was also the furthest I have ever run. 13.1 miles in 2:31. Not a fast pace by any means, but my personal best. :)My daughter participated in the "Scary Scamper-mile "run" which gave her a race shirt/bib number and finisher ribbon- she had fun and enjoyed having a bib number like her dad.Start them enjoying fitness early on and avoid the health hazards of later years.

Now let the healing process begin! Ice baths are my friend.

Well done Pete!! Congrats to you and your daughter. My question is, adjusted for age and distance, who had the faster comparative time?...just spoofin' bro!

Thanks and no worries Shook! I'd rather that she have a better time than me any day :)

The ironic thing is that I actually had fun during the race; I don't know if it was because it was an unexplored experience for me, or whether I finally got the endorphins people talk about from running, but it was overall a good time.

How's your studying coming along?
