CONGRATULATIONS MARK REIFKIND, SR. RKC!

I am sure everyone already knows if you have been checking the Dragon Door forum, or Rif's blog, but I wanted to give a shout out to Rif for being named as the new Sr. RKC.

Anyone who knows Rif, his past accomplishments and current training intestinal fortitude knows that this is the most logical and right choice. Kudos to Pavel and the other Sr. RKCs for their brilliant selection.

Rif, it sounds like you are leading the way in the Norcal Coalition! We are very fortunate that there are so many RKCs in California. I am looking forward to seeing Jason and Erik join the nutty bloggers! :)

I am in talks right now regarding the Basic PT instructors course having a section on Kettlebell training. A very small exposure, but exposure nonetheless. It would be awesome if it gets included because it would be for future classes for all of California PT instructor schools.

Re: the Beast....it taunts me and haunts me. Little by little. I just did my first SSST. Not impressive numbers (120) but at least I have my baseline.

heym anyone that steps up and DOES the USSST had bigguns in my book. I have het to test that and would be happy with 120 as a starting point. Like you said, you have a baseline now and can pendulum wave load the training from that. You are doing great dude and glad you aboard the NorCal train, lol!

also exposure is exposure, it will grow for sure.

Thanks for the props, Rif. I was happy to get my baseline out of the way. It is definitely more mental before starting, then mental and physical during.

Franz, the SoCal Coalition is in strong alliance with the Norcal folks! No norteno/sureno problems here! :)Hope all is well with you and Yoana. I am looking forward to getting your dvd! :)

Sorry, Rif! I have been away from my blog lately. Been extremely busy with work now that we have firearms training in addition to the defensive tactics class I assist. I still get some workouts in, but they have been a quick GTG, or in addition to what I am training the recruits.

More to come... :)
