Good to see you playing with the big bells;)

Catch you tommorow and joking aside good training going down Pete. Great seeing you so enthusiastic about it.

I second Ken's sentiments Pete, good on ya for training so consistently. Are you, like me, just riding a big wave of motivation and inspiration after seeing so much talent at the RKC? Very humbling to be in the presence of such great athletes. That goes for Mr. Black as well, one of the strongest AND most humble guys I have ever met. We are fortunate indeed to know him and be able to train with him.
BTW...good work with the BJJ, I'd like to give that a try sometime...I would feel like a fish out of water rolling around on the mat though..;-)!!

I am definitely riding a huge wave of motivation. I think Brett Jones' speech on the first day left an impact on me. I definitely feel more of a representative of kettlebell training if I am an RKC, and I had better walk the walk! :)

BJJ is the bomb! It just feels very refreshing to get on the mat. The KB training definitely carries over. I can feel a HUGE difference in my cardio and post workout soreness (or lack thereof) from when I did not train with KBs compared to now.

Yeah.....Ken gets big kudos for being a super strong man, great trainer, and friend. This community of old school-new school strength trainers beats anything else out there! When I went to this "resistance training specialist" course in Dallas, I was kind of turned off by the cheesy spandex personalities that I came across. But, I guess there is obviously a clientele for that kind of training, too, so I guess good for them!

The people I have come across since training with the KBs have been top notch! Without KB training, I would have never met either of you two. It is these experiences that make life an enriching experience.

wouldn't it be fun to create a northern california kettlebell club, and try to start some freindly competition? Just a rambling thought while I have my litlle warrior princess on my lap. Think there'd be a market for kettlebell baby rattles?

TRAIN HARD MY FRIENDS!

Thanks guys. Yep it is great motivator after the RKC. "Good times" as someone would say;)

Pete where are you doing the BJJ at?

It is funny you mention that about the club I was thinking it would be good to do the same thing. Talk to you more about it tommorow.

Ken,

I just get on the mat with my friend, and co-worker James. he is the guy that came over with me when we picked up the tire. I'll let you know the next time we get on the mat. It is very impromptu depending on our schedule. When we grappled yesterday, he called me the night before and we set the time. The last time we grappled was at least 3-4 months ago. But, I have been training with him off and on since 1998.

Well talk more tomorrow. I got a message from Rif's blog. They're coming up in July for an APC meet. We should go and support their people. I think Shannon Hartnett might be there, too.
